I'm still checking in every day and the site is working perfectly every time. What a joy, now! Eventually the old crowd will recognise that the forum is working now and it'll become active again.

Much slower for me today Hopefully just due to heavy holiday net use, though haven't noticed it on FB, DIYaudio forums, shopping, etc., so can't help but wonder.......... .

I just hope that "the powers that be" on this board haven't shelved their plans to move to a more stable server. Ever since this latest "fix", traffic here seems to be down. Of course I could be wrong, but it doesn't take much to realize that recurring problems will drive people away. After all, the Altec experts on this board also frequent a few other forums and can just as easily offer their advice and wisdom there. It really doesn't take much to abandon a forum when you can very easily get what you need elsewhere on the internet.

My assistant and I are still looking into it. No matter what, we're going to find a way to download and save the data from all of the discussions so it won't be lost.
